Dong-A University President Lee Hae-woo participated in the Ministry of Environment’s ‘Bye Bye Plastic Challenge.’

The ‘Bye Bye Plastic Challenge’ is a campaign to spread the practice of reducing unnecessary plastic use by posting photos on social media of participants waving both hands as a sign of saying ‘Bye,’ along with their commitment to the cause, and then nominating the next challenger.


President Lee Hae-woo joined the campaign upon the nomination of Busan National University President Cha Jeong-in and recommended Woo Cheol-moon, Commissioner of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency, as the next participant.


President Lee said, “I will make efforts to reduce the use of plastic in daily life by using reusable cups and practicing zero waste. This year, we also distributed welcome kits including tumblers to new students.” He added, “Dong-A University is actively engaged in nurturing talent in industries for the future of our planet, such as hydrogen, secondary batteries, power semiconductors, and biohealth.”
