Providing Nutritious Side Dishes to Vulnerable Groups in the District
Practicing Neighborly Love Through Support
Midgo Meokneun Banchan supports 'Love Side Dishes' worth 16 million KRW annually for low-income vulnerable groups in Seongsan-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam.
Love Side Dishes consist of soup and four types of side dishes, and are planned to be delivered once a week through home visits to 17 vulnerable households in the district, including elderly living alone with mobility difficulties and low-income single-person middle-aged households at risk of food insecurity, along with checking on their well-being.
CEO Kim Young-hyun said, "Through regular weekly sharing of side dishes, we hope to help neighbors in need not skip meals and have healthy diets," adding, "We will continue to practice ongoing sponsorship and volunteer work to bring comfort and courage to marginalized neighbors."
Yoo Jae-jun, head of Seongsan-gu Office, said, "We thank CEO Kim Young-hyun for practicing warm sharing every year for low-income households in the district struggling with meal solutions. The district will also do its best to improve residents' welfare awareness through continuous public-private cooperation."
Meanwhile, Midgo Meokneun Banchan has been steadily carrying out side dish sharing to support socially marginalized groups in the community every year since 2019, practicing warm neighborly love.
