Cheonan City to Promote Cheonheung 2 General Industrial Complex... Completion by 2028

Scheduled Application for Industrial Complex Plan Approval in May
Expected Job Creation for 1,926 Employees from 14 Tenant Companies

Cheonan City in Chungnam has officially launched the development of the Cheonan Cheonheung 2 General Industrial Complex, aiming for completion in 2028.

The city announced on the 19th that, as the Cheonan Cheonheung 2 General Industrial Complex was included in this year's industrial complex designation plan, it will proceed with the application for industrial complex plan approval in May.

The Cheonan Cheonheung 2 General Industrial Complex, developed through a private development method, will be constructed by the project operator, Cheongam Industry Co., Ltd., investing a total of 138.8 billion KRW to develop an industrial complex on 427,004㎡ in the Cheonheung-ri area of Seonggeo-eup, Seobuk-gu, Cheonan City by 2028.

The targeted industries include manufacturing of electronic components, computers, video, audio and communication equipment, electrical equipment manufacturing, and other machinery and equipment manufacturing. Fourteen companies are expected to move in, creating approximately 1,926 jobs.

Mayor Park Sang-don stated, “We expect a desirable synergistic effect through competition and cooperation among companies by linking with the adjacent Cheonan Cheonheung Industrial Complex and the recently completed Seonggeo Industrial Complex.”
