BrainsCompany's 'Genius' Sees Growing Adoption in Financial Institutions for Stable IT System Operations

In October last year, Japan's interbank transfer payment system experienced a two-day outage, causing delays in a total of 5.06 million transactions across 11 banks, including Mitsubishi Bank and Resona Bank. A month later, a system error in Japan's card network that processes card payment data caused citizens nationwide to be unable to use their cards for over seven hours, resulting in significant inconvenience.

As seen in these cases, when financial institutions experience network or server failures, it not only decreases customer satisfaction but also leads to reduced trust and profit losses. Therefore, financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, and card companies continue various efforts to manage their IT infrastructure and systems stably.

In this context, BrainsCompany (CEO Kang Seon-geun)'s integrated IT infrastructure monitoring solution, 'Zenius EMS,' is attracting attention as its adoption cases in financial institutions are increasing.

Recently, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives introduced Zenius for overall system integrated control and operation automation, while the Export-Import Bank of Korea and Korea Housing Finance Corporation are also utilizing Zenius for server and network management. Additionally, Shinhan Credit Union, Gwangju Bank, Jeonbuk Bank, NH Bank, IBK Investment & Securities, Yuanta Securities, and DB Insurance are actively using Zenius to ensure stable IT system operations.

An official from a financial institution that adopted Zenius EMS said, “We have established an integrated monitoring environment for distributed heterogeneous servers and network devices, enabling us to provide services stably. Also, the dashboard tailored to our situation allows real-time performance analysis and fault detection, which is the best feature.”

The greatest advantage of Zenius EMS is its ability to provide integrated monitoring of infrastructure such as servers, networks, and databases in IDC and corporate data centers, as well as cloud environments including Kubernetes. Zenius EMS has received the ‘CSAP (SaaS)’ certification for security technology in cloud information protection and was selected as an ‘Excellent Product by the Public Procurement Service,’ awarded only to products with outstanding performance, technology, and quality. Furthermore, it earned a first-grade rating in the ‘GS Certification,’ an ISO international standard that comprehensively evaluates eight software quality criteria including functional suitability, performance efficiency, and security.

BrainsCompany’s Zenius consists not only of EMS but also ‘APM,’ which guarantees stable service quality through application service segment performance and fault diagnosis management; ‘Integrated Log Management (SIEM),’ which centralizes large volumes of logs for efficient collection, storage, and visualization; and ‘ITSM,’ which systematically manages internal IT service operations. Another major advantage is its possession of the ‘industry’s largest portfolio of over 20 point solutions,’ allowing customers to use only the necessary functions according to their situation.

Meanwhile, as many financial institutions recently consider or have already begun transitioning to cloud-native environments for stable and fast service delivery, the popularity of Zenius, which can integrate management of both on-premises and cloud environments, is expected to increase further.
