Jinju City Implements 'Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee Support Project'

'Gyeongnam Baro Service Website' Online Application

Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that it will implement the "Jeonse Deposit Return Guarantee Fee Support Project" to prevent jeonse fraud damage to low-income tenants.


The support targets are non-homeowners who have signed up for the jeonse deposit return guarantee with a housing jeonse deposit of 300 million KRW or less, and whose annual income is 50 million KRW or less for youth, 60 million KRW or less for non-youth, and 75 million KRW or less for newlyweds.

The application period is from March 20 to December 4, but it may close early if the budget is exhausted. Applications can be submitted by visiting the Jinju City Housing Landscape Division or through the Gyeongnam Baro Service website.


After screening, selected applicants will be reimbursed up to 300,000 KRW for the guarantee fee already paid.

A Jinju City official said, "We expect this project to help prevent jeonse fraud damage to low-income tenants," and added, "We will do our best to create a residential environment where citizens can live with peace of mind."
