'Korea's No. 1' Lee Ye-won, World Ranking Moves from 35th to 31st

"Domestic No. 1" Lee Ye-won has risen to 31st in the world rankings.

In the women's golf weekly world rankings officially announced on the 18th (local time), she received 2.45 points, jumping 4 places from 35th last week. She accumulated points by winning the KLPGA Tour Blue Canyon Ladies Championship (total prize money $650,000) held at Blue Canyon Country Club (par 72) in Phuket, Thailand, which ended on the 17th. This is her 4th KLPGA Tour win in total, six months after winning the major Hite Jinro Championship in October last year, with a winner's prize of $117,000 (approximately 150 million KRW).


There were no changes in the top ranks as no LPGA Tour events were held. Lilia Vu, Nelly Korda (both USA), C?line Boutier (France), Yin Ruoning (China), and Minjee Lee (Australia) maintained their positions from 1st to 5th. Korea has Ko Jin-young at 6th and Kim Hyo-joo at 9th. Yang Hee-young rose two places to 14th. Shin Ji-ae is 18th, Yoo Hae-ran 32nd, Bang Shin-sil 36th, and Park Min-ji 38th.
