AhnLab V3 Wins 'Best Intelligent Threat Defense Solution' at AV-TEST Awards

AhnLab announced on the 19th that its PC antivirus solution V3 won the 'Best Intelligent Threat Defense Solution Award' at the AV-TEST Awards 2023, hosted by the global security product testing organization AV-TEST.

The AV-TEST Awards are given to products that demonstrate excellent performance in PC and mobile tests conducted by AV-TEST throughout the year. AhnLab V3 participated in the intelligent threat defense test in both the general user and enterprise solution categories, achieving a perfect score in all six rounds, earning the title of the best intelligent threat defense solution. Among the participating global security companies, AhnLab was the only one to achieve a perfect score in all rounds.

The intelligent threat defense test is a scenario-based threat blocking test configured by AV-TEST based on the MITRE ATT&CK framework, separate from conventional solution tests. MITRE is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that provides an attack framework combining attackers' tactics, techniques, procedures, and intelligence related to attacks and responses.

Every even month, ten threat scenarios are selected based on specific attack techniques, and the test measures whether the product blocks threats at each stage from intrusion to final data leakage. Certification is granted to products based on these results. Since 2023, AhnLab has been the only company in Korea to publicly participate in the intelligent threat defense test.
