ShowGolf announced on the 18th, "Robert Van Scoyoc, the hitting coach of the LA Dodgers, visited ShowGolf Gimpo Airport branch to practice golf," adding, "We did not receive prior notice, and Coach Van Scoyoc personally visited the Gimpo Airport branch along with team officials." The LA Dodgers came to Korea on the 15th to play the opening two games of the 2024 season against the San Diego Padres at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul, on the 20th and 21st.
Coach Van Scoyoc is a golf enthusiast who usually carries a launch monitor that measures the direction and distance of golf balls. He shared his thoughts, saying, "I was looking for a golf practice range in Korea and was recommended this place by people around me," and added, "I was surprised that each batting stall was equipped with a launch monitor that measures direction and distance."
ShowGolf is an integrated golf platform company. It installs FlightScope, the No.1 golf swing analysis equipment in the North American market, at batting stalls to help golfers improve their skills. Many players, including those on the PGA Tour, as well as amateur golfers, use it. ShowGolf Gimpo Airport branch operates night hours for nine months from March to November, ahead of the full golf season.
