Pyeongtaek City Strengthens Submission Requirements for Signage Display Plans During New, Extended, and Renovated Building Construction

On the 18th, Pyeongtaek City announced that it has established a systematic processing procedure through collaboration between the building permit and advertising departments to strengthen the submission of sign display plans under the 'Outdoor Advertising Act.'

The buildings subject to the submission of sign display plans are those used for purposes such as Type 1 and Type 2 neighborhood living facilities, sales facilities, lodging facilities, and entertainment facilities, with a total floor area of 300㎡ or more.

The owner or manager of the building must submit a sign display plan to the city at the time of building permit application, indicating the size and location or place of signs and posting facilities on the building elevation drawing. Subsequently, those who intend to operate a business in the building must obtain permission or report according to the sign display plan submitted by the building owner and then install the signs.

A city official stated, "By applying the outdoor advertising guidelines at the time of building permits, we plan to create a sense of unity between buildings and advertisements and establish a clean and beautiful urban landscape."
