Gukim 'Nomination Cancellation' Follow-up Nominations... Busan Suyeong Jeong Yeon-wook, Daegu Jung·Nam Kim Ki-woong

The People Power Party's Nomination Management Committee has given priority recommendations (strategic nominations) to Jeong Yeon-wook, former editorial writer of Dong-A Ilbo, and Kim Ki-woong, former vice minister of unification, for Busan Suyeong and Daegu Jung-Nam districts, respectively, where nominations were canceled due to 'controversial remarks'.

Former editorial writer Jeong received a strategic nomination for Suyeong, where former youth supreme council member Jang Ye-chan's nomination was canceled. Previously, he applied for nomination in Busan Busanjin and competed in a primary against three-term lawmaker Lee Heon-seung in that area but lost.

Former vice minister Kim received a strategic nomination for Daegu Jung-Nam district, where lawyer Do Tae-woo's nomination was canceled. Although he did not apply for nomination from the People Power Party, he is a figure recruited at the party level.

With the renomination of candidates in these two constituencies, the People Power Party now has candidates in all 254 constituencies nationwide. It is the first time in 16 years that a party affiliated with the People Power Party has nominated candidates in all constituencies.
