Attended Incheon City Party Founding Promoters' Meeting on the 17th
Proposed 1:1 Debate Against Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Committee Chairman
Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, stated on the 17th that "the first task after the general election is to uncover and punish the corruption and criminal allegations of key power figures, including President Yoon Seok-yeol."
On the same day, at the founding promoters' meeting of the Incheon City Party held at Chapeldemiang in Namdong-gu, Incheon, Jo said, "Since President Yoon is the incumbent, he cannot be indicted under the Constitution, but if illegal activities are confirmed, it can be grounds for impeachment."
Regarding the controversy over the appointment and departure of former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop, who is under investigation for alleged interference in the investigation of the Marine Corps personnel death case, Jo also suggested the possibility of President Yoon's involvement. Jo stated, "Because the prosecution is not investigating President Yoon, illegal evidence is not emerging, but evidence must come out that former Minister Lee was illegally allowed to leave the country," adding, "If he was sent to Australia under the president's orders, it clearly means the incumbent president committed an act of aiding a criminal, and if confirmed by evidence, it becomes grounds for impeachment."

He also mentioned allegations related to President Yoon's wife, Kim Geon-hee, including the Deutsche Motors stock manipulation, Yangpyeong Expressway suspicions, and Dior bag bribery allegations, and announced plans to push for the so-called 'Kim Geon-hee Comprehensive Special Investigation Act.' Jo said, "Kim Geon-hee should be taken to court applying the same standard of 'investigating the living power' that her husband, President Yoon, always emphasized during his time as Prosecutor General," adding, "Since she is a private citizen, whether First Lady or not, if criminal allegations are confirmed, she must be investigated and prosecuted."
Jo continued, "The top priority going forward is to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, but it is difficult with only the power of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, so we must cooperate and unite with the Democratic Party," and added, "There are some people trying to sow discord and division, but party members should maintain composure even if such things happen."
On the same day, Jo publicly proposed a one-on-one debate with Han Dong-hoon, Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party. He said, "After the party was founded, I contacted the People Power Party saying I would visit to greet Chairman Han, but he said he could not meet due to local schedules," adding, "Any topic is fine, any place is fine, but I want to have a live one-on-one Q&A in front of the public and cameras."
