Candidate Applications for the '2024 Vocational Competency Development Merit Awards' Open Until April 11
The Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office (Director Ko Byeong-gon) announced on the 17th that it will accept applications for the '2024 Vocational Competency Development Merit Awards' for employers, workers, and outstanding skilled technicians until the 11th of next month.
The Vocational Competency Development Merit Awards have been implemented since 1997 to encourage individuals who have made significant contributions to realizing lifelong vocational competency development and a competency-centered society for all citizens.
This year, a total of 100 recipients will be awarded medals, plaques, and presidential citations across six categories, including those who have contributed to the advancement of skilled technology and the enhancement of skilled technicians' status, the establishment of in-house vocational training systems, the preparation of competency-centered recruitment, evaluation, and training systems, those with outstanding performance in digital and new technology training operations, and those who have contributed to the disabled.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 3rd at the 28th Vocational Competency Month commemorative event.
