The U.S. export price index rose 0.8% in February compared to the previous month. This level far exceeded expectations.
On the 15th, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) announced that the U.S. export price index increased by 0.8% in February compared to the previous month. This was four times higher than the market's expected increase of 0.2%. However, it was lower than the 0.9% rise in the previous month.
The import price index in February rose 0.3% compared to the previous month, meeting market expectations of a 0.3% increase. It was also lower than the 0.8% rise in the previous month.
