Premium distilled spirit Hwayo announced on the 15th that it has been selected as the official soju partner of the global gourmet guides 'The World's 50 Best Restaurants' and 'Asia's 50 Best Restaurants.'

Asia's 50 Best Restaurants is the Asian event of the globally prestigious gourmet event 'The World's 50 Best Restaurants,' often called the 'Oscars of the culinary world,' where famous chefs and gourmet experts from around the world gather. Since its inception in 2013, Asia's 50 Best Restaurants has been held in major Asian tourist cities such as Singapore, Bangkok, and Macau, and this year marks the first time the awards ceremony is held in Seoul.

Hwayo is the first domestic soju brand to participate as the official soju partner of both The World's 50 Best Restaurants and Asia's 50 Best Restaurants. Since the first event of The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2002, this is the first time a partner in the 'soju' category has been selected, and Hwayo is the only Korean alcoholic beverage to hold this position. As the official soju partner, Hwayo plans to participate in all official events to promote itself as the representative K-alcohol.

Hwayo stated, "Through this partnership, we plan to properly introduce high-quality Korean alcohol to more people worldwide and accelerate the expansion of export distribution networks to take a step closer to the global market."

The '2024 Asia's 50 Best Restaurants' awards ceremony will be held on the 26th at the Parnas Hotel in Seoul, and the '2024 World's 50 Best Restaurants' awards ceremony will take place in June in Las Vegas, USA.
