HD Hyundai 1% Nanum Foundation Provides 36 Million KRW in Living Expenses to Children from Families in Crisis

Support of Over 270 Million Won in 8 Years

HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation announced on the 14th that it donated 36 million KRW in sponsorship funds to the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation for local families in crisis.

The Ulsan branch of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation selects low-income families with children under 18 years old who are in crisis due to unemployment, illness, accidents, disasters, divorce, etc., and provides emergency living expenses such as housing and medical costs up to 3 million KRW per household.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has supported a total of 220 local families in crisis with 276 million KRW from 2016 to last year.

A representative of HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation said, "We hope that children in families facing sudden crises can feel the warmth of society," adding, "We will continue to make meticulous efforts to ensure that vulnerable groups around us are not left out."

Ahead of this year’s Lunar New Year holiday, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries is carrying out various social contribution activities to support vulnerable groups in the community, including providing consolation goods to social welfare facilities and senior centers for 30 years, donating sponsorship funds to underprivileged students, and supporting side dish supply projects.
