VT announced on the 14th that it has filed a patent for a process that upgrades functionality by applying low-temperature atmospheric pressure plasma treatment using IPA (Intense Plasma Activation) to 'Riddle Shot.'
In the patented 'Riddle Shot' manufacturing process, plasma treatment is performed under set conditions such as a specific frequency after the existing functional impregnation process. Gas-phase particles are directed onto the surface of the target to form a thin film such as an insulating or conductive layer. This technology can drastically reduce the possibility of secondary infections like microorganisms, enhance skin affinity and penetration, thereby delivering excellent skin improvement effects.
The skin penetration potential of functional substances was confirmed through Franz diffusion cell tests on actual skin. Compared to before IPA plasma treatment, collagen increased by 7 times and PDRN by more than 2 times. Cell affinity, attachment, and proliferation rates using human cells also increased more than twice compared to the existing 'Riddle Shot.' In particular, microbial tests confirmed that microorganisms did not proliferate after IPA plasma treatment, establishing a new IPA plasma process platform.
VT has been actively conducting research and development to upgrade the functionality of 'Riddle Shot.' To reflect the new concept of improving individual skin quality through 'Physical Derma' in actual products, it is actively collaborating with microneedle experts.
A VT representative stated, “Through regular meetings with experts, we are not only improving the structure, form, and functionality of microneedles but also producing actual prototypes to explore product feasibility. IPA plasma treatment was added as part of this research and development process, and since it complies with relevant regulations, is harmless to the human body, and has confirmed functional enhancement, we proceeded with the patent application.”
