Sepratech (CEO Yeom Chung-gyun), which possesses unparalleled technology in the domestic separator manufacturing sector, announced on the 13th that it has signed a lead underwriting agreement with Mirae Asset Securities for its KOSDAQ listing.
Founded in 2006, Sepratech is a specialized company in gas and liquid separators, developing and producing membranes and related devices as a materials company. In March last year, it attracted a strategic investment of 3.2 billion KRW from SK Ecoplant, and has decided to list on KOSDAQ to establish a growth foundation as a leading company based on advanced separator manufacturing technology.
Sepratech’s main products are membrane contactors and permeation evaporation membranes. Membrane contactors are membrane contactors that separate specific components by permeating through the pores of hydrophobic porous membranes (Polypropylene, Teflon). They can be used in various industries such as industrial semiconductor ultrapure water degassing membranes (MDG), harmful alcohols (IPA), biogas, nitrogen, bioalcohol, and ultra-fine dust removal separation.
Permeation evaporation membranes are membrane separation process technologies that separate liquid and liquid, vapor and vapor, or vapor and gas mixtures, and are utilized in various fields such as environmental sectors and petrochemical product separation and purification.
A Sepratech official stated, “Over the past three years, through the Ministry of Environment’s national projects, we have been finalizing the localization of MDG membrane modules for semiconductor ultrapure water degassing membranes using our existing core technology. Recently, ahead of product mass production, the second factory is scheduled to operate normally in the first half of this year, and we are accelerating the reinforcement of research and production personnel, including engineers.”
Sepratech is preparing for a KOSDAQ market listing targeted for the second half of 2025 and recruited a CFO from SK in the second half of last year.
Currently, degassing membranes used in ultrapure water production, which is in increasing demand in semiconductors and bio sectors, are 100% imported, making localization essential. If Sepratech’s degassing membranes are commercialized, it is expected to achieve significant results not only in material localization but also in exports to the global market. As an affiliate of KOSDAQ-listed Envionia, once localization is completed, Sepratech will become the world’s second degassing membrane manufacturer following the US company M.
Sepratech CEO Yeom Chung-gyun said, “We expect to secure a leading position in the rapidly growing membrane contactor market and be re-evaluated as a domestic materials, parts, and equipment company that replaces imported materials through the KOSDAQ listing.”
