Policy Proposal and Administrative Monitoring Officer
Osan City in Gyeonggi-do is publicly recruiting the '3rd Citizen Participation Group' to carry out policy proposals and municipal monitoring for the creation of a women-friendly city until the 29th of this month.
The number of recruits is up to 30 people, and any Osan citizen who is interested in a women-friendly city and can actively participate and engage is eligible to apply.
The term of office for the citizen participation group members is two years from the date of appointment. After appointment, members will complete capacity-building training and carry out monitoring activities across the entire municipal administration, including presenting constructive opinions on the creation of a women-friendly city, identifying gender imbalance factors and inconveniences in daily life, and monitoring public facilities and public services.
Applicants wishing to participate can download the application form from the city website, fill it out, and submit it by visiting the Family and Childcare Division or by email.
Since launching the first citizen participation group in 2021, Osan City has been actively conducting various monitoring activities to ensure that gender equality and gender awareness are reflected throughout city administration. In January 2022, it was certified and designated as a women-friendly city by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
Lee Myung-sook, head of the Family and Childcare Division of Osan City, said, "This year as well, we will do our best to create a women-friendly Osan by recruiting passionate citizen participation group members for a women-friendly city."
