Daewoong Pharmaceutical Vitamin 'Energissle Perfect Shot' Challenges Japanese Market

Daewoong Pharmaceutical recently announced on the 13th that it has launched its premium vitamin product, Enercissle Perfect Shot, in Japan. The company plans to expand its market starting with the launch on Qoo10, one of Japan's largest online shopping malls, on the 16th of last month.

Enercissle Perfect Shot is designed with the optimal intake amounts of all eight types of vitamin B complex, considering absorption rates. In particular, it contains milk thistle, which helps improve liver fatigue and vitality, up to the daily intake amount of 130 mg as per the Korea Ministry of Food and Drug Safety standards.

Enercissle Perfect Shot is available in a lineup consisting of Enercissle Perfect Shot Immune Plus and Enercissle Perfect Shot CholeDown. Immune Plus contains Rhodiola rosea extract, which may help alleviate fatigue caused by stress, zinc necessary for normal immune function, antioxidant vitamin C, and vitamin D that aids calcium and phosphorus absorption. CholeDown includes red yeast rice extract (monacolin K), which may help improve blood cholesterol levels, along with zinc, and vitamins C and D.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for immune-boosting products has increased in Japan, leading to growth in the health functional food market. Additionally, as Japan is known for purchasing the most health foods at offline stores such as drugstores and pharmacies, Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to enter the Japanese offline channels in partnership with local companies to keep up with the trend.
