Gyeonggi-do to Inspect Flood Prevention Measures in Underground Underpasses Across the Province Until the 28th of This Month

Gyeonggi Province will inspect the safety management status to prevent flooding accidents at 307 underground underpasses across the province until the 28th of this month.

The inspection targets are underground underpasses managed by Gyeonggi Province and each city and county. The inspection items include ▲maintenance status of drainage facilities such as drainage pumps, drainage channels, and sumps ▲operation status of entry blocking facilities ▲designation of person in charge for each underpass ▲control standards ▲emergency contact network ▲collaboration system ▲establishment of preparedness measures for accidents, etc.

In particular, efforts will be made to encourage the completion of entry blocking facilities installed at flood-risk facilities or low-lying underground underpasses before the rainy season, and for underground underpasses without entry blocking facilities, the focus will be on checking whether they are under priority management by the respective city or county.
