Si Seokjung, Chairman of Gyeonggi Shinbo, to Host Southern Region Policy Project Briefing on the 12th

The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation held its first policy project briefing session of the year.


On the 12th, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation announced that it held the "2024 Southern Region Policy Project Briefing Session for Supporting the Success of Provincial Residents" at the Suwon Gyeonggi Arts Center, attended by related policy support organizations such as the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, officials from six southern region areas including Suwon, Hwaseong, and Pyeongtaek, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners.


This policy project briefing session was held as a follow-up measure after Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon emphasized the necessity of an integrated service that can provide support services for small business owners all at once.

Accordingly, the briefing focused on strengthening communication with small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners within the province. Additionally, related policy support organizations provided useful policy information for local businesses in one place through a one-stop service, including introductions to financial support and inclusive finance products.


Based on the opinions discussed at this briefing, the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation plans to reflect them in policies through system improvements and collaboration among related policy support organizations.


Starting with the southern region briefing session, the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation will hold another briefing on the 14th at the Seongnam Gyeonggi Institute of Science and Technology Promotion, targeting nine areas including Seongnam, Namyangju, and Icheon.


Si Seok-jung, Chairman of the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, stated, "I deeply thank Gyeonggi Province, city and county governments, and related policy support organizations for their active cooperation in this policy project briefing session to restore the livelihood economy of Gyeonggi Province. This briefing session was a meaningful time for Gyeonggi Province, city and county governments, and related policy support organizations to better understand each other and unite in efforts to overcome the crisis faced by local businesses."


He added, "The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation will continue to accelerate constant change and innovation to provide dreams and success to provincial residents and vitality and stability to the regional economy."


Meanwhile, the event was attended by Seo Hyun-ok, Shin Mi-sook, and Kim Do-hoon, members of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council’s Economic and Labor Committee, as well as Kim Kwang-duk, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Regional Finance Division.
