Emart announced on the 13th that it will offer up to 50% discounts on seasonal fresh food from the 15th to the 21st.

First, Emart will hold the ‘Spring Vegetable Forest’ event, offering 20% discounts on 10 types of seasonal vegetables when paying with event cards. Through advance stock procurement, Emart has prepared a record-high quantity of 300,000 packs. Cheongdo Minari (300g, domestic) is sold for 4,784 won, Naengi (150g, domestic) for 3,984 won, Dallae (160g, domestic) for 4,384 won, and Bomdong (500g, domestic) for 3,184 won. In addition, a variety of fragrant spring vegetables such as pre-cooked Buchu, Sanchwina-mul, Gomchi, Sebalnamul, Ssuk, and Sseumbagwi are prepared.

Sales of spring vegetables have been on the rise every year. From February to April last year, Emart’s spring vegetable sales increased by 16.5% compared to the previous year. Among them, Minari is a popular item accounting for 40% of total spring vegetable sales, and its demand has been increasing annually as its combination with Samgyeopsal has gained popularity across all age groups.

Emart will also hold a ‘Direct Delivery Truck Event’ on the 16th and 17th at Emart Yeonsu Branch, Gwangmyeong Soha Branch, Changwon Branch, and Osan Branch, allowing customers to purchase freshly harvested Minari on the same day.

At the ready-to-cook corner Kitchen Deli, deli products using spring vegetables will also be sold at discounted prices. Four types of convenient vegetable and bibimbap dishes, including Jeonju 6-Jeop Namul and Beef Gangdoenjang Bibimbap, as well as Bangpungnamul Gimbap (pack), can be purchased at 20% off when accumulating Shinsegae Points.

Popular seafood will also be offered at up to 50% off in collaboration with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. Notably, domestically produced freshwater eel, prepared for easy consumption as ‘Hangadeuk Freshwater Eel (600g, box),’ will be sold at the lowest price of the year, 29,900 won, when accumulating Shinsegae Points. Emart has carefully selected only the highest-grade Japonica eels among domestic freshwater eels and prepared a record-high quantity of about 40 tons. Namhaean sea squirts will also be offered at the lowest price level. Prepared sea squirts (150g, pack) will be sold for 5,988 won when accumulating Shinsegae Points. Domestic prepared squid (special and large, per piece) and all flatfish sashimi items will be offered at a 30% discount when accumulating Shinsegae Points.
