Welding Specialist Company 'MDT' Donates 20 Million KRW to Dong-Eui University Development Fund

Scholarship Utilization Plan for Students Majoring in Metal Materials Engineering

The welding-specialized company 'MDT' donated 20 million KRW to Dong-Eui University (President Han Suhwan) as a university development fund.

MDT Co., a welding specialist company, donated 20 million KRW to Dong-Eui University as a development fund.

The donation ceremony held on the 11th at the Dong-Eui University President's Office was attended by MDT CEO Lee Kwangwon, Dong-Eui University President Han Suhwan, Vice President of Academic Affairs Jo Jaekyun, Vice President of External Affairs Lee Imgeon, and Professor Park Youngdo of the Department of Metal Materials Engineering (Head of the Welding Workforce Training Center), among others.

Dong-Eui University plans to use the donated development fund for scholarships and other support for students majoring in Metal Materials Engineering.

CEO Lee Kwangwon said, "For over 10 years, our company has achieved significant growth through joint industry-academic research projects with Dong-Eui University, including national projects. Recently, we hired a master's graduate from Dong-Eui University, and the company has high expectations for them. We donated the development fund with the hope that excellent students in related fields will continue to be nurtured."

MDT is a welding-specialized company located in Ulju-gun, Ulsan City, engaged in the production of welding machines and the development of welding solutions. Recently, the company has expanded its business areas to include the design and manufacturing of AI-applied welding automation equipment, as well as the production and solutions of special welding machines.
