Scholarships Awarded to 18 Enrolled Students Selected
The Department of Visual Design, School of Convergence Information, Pukyong National University (Head Professor Kim Seongpil) held an award ceremony for the ‘Professor Emeritus Kim Seonhwa & Alumna Park Hyeji Development Foundation Scholarship’ and the ‘Lorenthu Company Scholarship’ on the afternoon of the 5th in a first-floor classroom of the Design Hall.
The ‘Professor Emeritus Kim Seonhwa & Alumna Park Hyeji Development Foundation Scholarship’ was established with 20 million KRW donated by Professor Emeritus Kim Seonhwa before her retirement for her students, and 2 million KRW donated by alumna Park Hyeji (Class of ’05) for her juniors.
On this day, Professors Kim Seongpil, Hong Dongsik, and Nam Yuntae of the Visual Design Department awarded a total of 4,125,000 KRW in scholarships to 15 outstanding students. The scholarship recipients were 15 students including seniors Shin Jiseop, Lee Aran, Kang Suji, Jeong Dabin, Go Jungyu; juniors Park Junghyun, Ahn Myeongcheol, Lee Chaeun, Son Suryun, Bae Hoyun; and sophomores Park Nahyun, Kim Bugyeong, Ha Hyerim, Ha Yoon, and Yoon Hanhee.
The ‘Lorenthu Company Scholarship’ was donated by Choo Se-eun, CEO of Lorenthu Company, to encourage the achievements of the project team conducted last semester in Professor Yoon Taesu’s Visual Design class at Pukyong National University. Three seniors?Shin Jiseop, Kang Suji, and Jeong Daeun?received a total of 800,000 KRW in scholarships.
Since the second semester of last year, the Visual Design Department has been supporting students’ school life by awarding scholarships from professors, alumni, and companies every semester.
