Received over four days from the 21st to the 24th
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a naming contest for its winter festival, tentatively called the 'Osan Santa Market,' for four days from the 21st to the 24th.
The city explained that this naming contest aims to develop the 'Osan Christmas Market,' first held last year around Osan Station Plaza and Areumdaro Street, into the city's representative winter festival.
The contest is open to everyone nationwide, including Osan citizens, and participants are encouraged to propose names that reflect the image and identity of Osan's winter festival and are easy for anyone to say and remember.
Those wishing to participate can refer to the announcement on Osan City's official website and submit their entries via email. The city plans to select one grand prize winner (500,000 KRW), one excellence prize winner (200,000 KRW), and two encouragement prize winners (100,000 KRW each) through a judging committee, with prizes awarded in local currency.
Meanwhile, from November 23 to December 25 last year, the city held the first 'Osan Christmas Market,' consisting of markets, performances, and experience booths around Osan Station Plaza and Areumdaro Street. This year's event is scheduled to be expanded and held from November 23 to December 25 around Osan Station Plaza and the Wondong shopping district.
