Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation Announces Recruitment for 8th International Organization Talent Development Program

The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation announced on the 11th that it is recruiting the 8th class of the 'OnDream Global Academy (OGA),' a program that nurtures global leaders in the field of international cooperation.

Since 2017, the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation has been operating the 'OnDream Global Academy (OGA)' program in collaboration with Korea University's Ilmin International Relations Institute (hereafter Ilmin Institute), targeting young people who aspire to enter international organizations or non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The 8th class program to be recruited this time will run for 10 months from May this year to February next year. It offers a professional curriculum composed of top domestic and international instructors, including current and former diplomats, international organization workers, and experts in international relations, as well as a two-week overseas field study and settlement support funds for entering international organizations.

Over the past seven years, among more than 200 graduates of the OGA program, 88 have entered 42 countries and 58 international organizations and NGOs. They have advanced to various parts of the world including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), World Bank Group, Green Climate Fund (GCF), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), International Organization for Migration (IOM), World Health Organization (WHO), and Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Since last year, through cooperation with the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD), the foundation has introduced an advanced program (APOHS) for graduates of the 'OnDream Global Academy' and others. Ten students, including Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Global Scholarship recipients, are selected to receive a world-class curriculum composed of UN staff and professionals based in Geneva, such as UNRISD, IOM, UNHCR, and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), for two weeks. In addition, settlement support funds are provided for three months during the internship period.

The 8th class of the OnDream Global Academy plans to select 30 participants. Any undergraduate student or degree holder under the age of 30 (under 32 for those who have completed military service) who wishes to enter international organizations or NGOs can apply. Application documents must be submitted online by March 25.
