Purchase Connecting Flights at Once... T'way Partners with Australian Airline

When purchasing tickets to Sydney, Australia from T'way Air, customers will now be able to buy tickets to other cities within Australia such as Melbourne, as well as to New Zealand and Fiji, all in one transaction.

T'way Air announced on the 11th that it has signed an 'interline' agreement with Virgin Australia Airlines and will begin coordinated operations.

An interline agreement is a partnership where multiple airlines link their individually operated routes into a single ticket. When purchasing a ticket for a route with stopovers, customers can buy the entire itinerary at once without having to purchase separate tickets from each airline.

Under this partnership, passengers on the T'way Air Incheon-Sydney route will be able to purchase Virgin Australia flights together when buying their tickets. The connecting routes available for purchase include nine major Australian cities such as Brisbane, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth, and Cairns, as well as Queenstown in New Zealand and Fiji. The boarding period starts from the 1st of next month.

T'way Air expects this to expand its route network and attract transfer passengers. The Incheon-Sydney route is also one of T'way Air's flagship long-haul routes. Since its launch at the end of 2022, over 130,000 passengers have flown this route through early this year.

A T'way Air representative said, "This interline agreement will increase the utilization of the Sydney route, satisfying demand from both tourists and business travelers," adding, "We will continue to diversify our routes through various methods."
