Supporting Rich Sound with Artificial Intelligence (AI)
LG Electronics announced on the 11th that it will launch the 2024 LG Soundbar, designed to complement the rich immersive sound realized through artificial intelligence (AI), as well as the premium LG TV features and design.
The new LG soundbar supports simultaneous use of the soundbar and TV speakers and offers wireless connections without sound loss, enhancing the linkage functions with the TV. It also features sophisticated immersive sound implemented by AI, which considers the viewing position, room structure, and content genre.

The flagship model, 'S95TR,' supports a total of 15 channels (9.1.5), including the main unit equipped with the world's first three up-firing speakers, a subwoofer for bass, and rear speakers for immersive sound. The maximum output is 810 watts (W). It also includes the 'Wow Orchestra' function, which utilizes both the soundbar and TV speakers simultaneously to deliver richer sound.
Through the 'WowCast' feature, it supports the latest immersive sound technology, 'Dolby Atmos,' during wireless connection with premium LG TVs such as OLED and QNED, providing vivid immersive sound without audio degradation. Additionally, users can check the soundbar settings or adjust customized sound modes for music, movies, etc., from the LG TV webOS home screen menu using the TV remote control.
The 'AI Room Calibration' function, which analyzes sound reflections from the speakers using artificial intelligence (AI) to detect the size and shape of the indoor space and correct the sound, has been further enhanced. It optimizes the sound to enjoy distortion-free audio by recognizing not only the listener’s position but also the location of the rear speakers.

LG Electronics will also release the 'S70TR,' which harmonizes perfectly with the premium LCD TV, LG QNED TV, as if they were a single product. The S70TR can be installed without separate construction by using a dedicated wall-mount bracket, and connection cables can be neatly organized. It supports wireless connection between rear speakers without additional devices, allowing for a clean installation space.
LG Electronics plans to sequentially launch the 2024 LG soundbars in major global markets including Korea, Europe, and starting with North America at the end of this month. From the 11th to the 20th, pre-orders will be available with discount benefits through the domestic online brand shop. The domestic shipment price for the S95TR is 1,899,000 KRW, and for the S70TR, it is 699,000 KRW.
