Gokseong-gun Gallery 107 Hosts "Invitation to Gokseong" Exhibition

Starting from the 7th, held at local galleries

Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that from the 7th to April 17th, a spring exhibition titled "Invitation to Gokseong" will be held at Gallery 107 in Gokseong-gun and four adjacent street galleries.


This exhibition showcases works across various genres including installation art, performance, Korean painting, sculpture, painting, and video, featuring four artists from Gokseong: Kim Baek-gi, Lee Gi-il, Ryu Young-ryeol, and Sung Tae-hoon.

Artist Sung Tae-hoon said, "The exhibition at Gallery 107 in my hometown Gokseong holds special meaning," adding, "The four artists will present works exploring new interpretations of contemporary art through their unique artistic worlds."


He also mentioned, "Especially, on the opening day, March 7th at 5:30 PM, there will be a performance by artist Kim Baek-gi, offering visitors a unique experience."


A Gokseong-gun official stated, "We will do our best to make this exhibition an opportunity to widely promote the cultural aspect of 'Cultural Gokseong' through diverse genres of art and to gather the capabilities of artists leading the Korean art scene."


Gallery 107 is located at 107-1 Jungang-ro, Gokseong-eup, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, and will be open free of charge from 10 AM to 6 PM during the exhibition period, closed on public holidays.
