Goheung 'Chamsari Maehwa Farm Party' Held

Invitation to the Fragrance of Maehwak (梅惑) for Two Days Starting from the 9th

The '2024 Goheung Chamsari Maehwa Farm Party,' welcoming the plum blossoms that herald spring, will be held for two days from the 9th to the 10th in Inhak Village, Gwaryeok (Myeonjang Jeong Yuseok), Jeonnam Goheung, under the slogan "Bloom, the Hope of Goheung, Spread, the Fragrance of Goheung."

The 2024 Chamsari Maehwa Farm Party features a walking event along the plum blossom path, which spans the largest area nationwide for a single farm at 13 hectares (40,000 pyeong). Visitors can also enjoy a direct sales market offering Gwaryeok-myeon’s clean agricultural and marine products such as cockles and strawberries, photo zones, local specialty ingredient-based homemade-style local restaurants, and various other attractions.

The Inhak Village area is a spring flower travel destination hidden like a treasure, where couples and families can quietly enjoy the dazzling white waves of flowers, gaining popularity among tourists through word of mouth.

This event is a small but substantial festival created directly by local residents with active participation from 30 institutions and social organizations in Gwaryeok-myeon, embodying a message of community harmony and coexistence.

In particular, the event introduces experiential programs unique to the Chamsari Maehwa Farm Party, such as making plum blossom frames and plum blossoms from sock yarn. To allow visitors to enjoy a spring picnic in the plum blossom fields, a children’s food area offering kimbap, fish cake, and other items, as well as unique photo zones, have been set up for the convenience of tourists.

Furthermore, the event focuses on revitalizing the local economy by selling vibrant local specialties to visitors at the venue.

Chamsari Farm Party Promotion Committee Chairman Choi Sangbok (President of the Prosperity Association) said, “We will do our best to make the Chamsari Maehwa Farm Party a paradigm of a resident-led event and an exciting festival that revitalizes the local economy.”
