Announcement of Award Winners for Guro-gu Children's Meal Management Support Center Ingredient Taste Expression Poem Contest Grand Prize Winner

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) announced that the Guro-gu Children's Meal Support Center has selected a total of 16 winning entries for the 2024 Ingredient Taste Expression Poem and Illustration Contest.


The 2024 Ingredient Taste Expression Poem and Illustration Contest was organized to express the taste of ingredients, promote emotional stability among children, and enhance language skills through linguistic stimulation.


It also helps prevent picky eating and supports healthy and balanced growth by fostering a sense of familiarity with food.


This contest was held from January 11 to 31, targeting elementary school students in grades 1 to 3 at local children's centers and Our Neighborhood Care Centers registered with the center in Guro-gu.


Nineteen locations participated in the contest, and judging was based on ▲ originality of the poem and illustration ▲ artistic expression ▲ expression related to ingredients ▲ harmony between poem and illustration ▲ level of children's participation. A total of 16 locations were selected, including one grand prize winner.


The grand prize was awarded to Seomgineun Regional Children's Center for "Gyul (Tangerine)," while the Excellence Awards went to Dream School Regional Children's Center for "Strawberries That Come to Mind in Winter," Cheonwangsup Our Neighborhood Care Center for "Finding the Pear," and Hangdong Convergence Our Neighborhood Care Center for "Orange Nyam Nyam."


Guro-gu has signed an agreement with the Korean Dietitians Association for the installation and operation consignment of the Children's Meal Support Center, systematically managing and supporting hygiene, nutrition, and food safety at children's meal facilities with fewer than 100 people that do not have dietitians.


The Guro-gu Children's Meal Support Center currently manages approximately 298 member facilities and carries out various support projects such as hygiene and safety inspections, nutrition management visits to children's meal facilities, and educational visits to children, directors, and teachers.
