It was reported on the 4th that two Koreans were arrested by local authorities at a Cambodian airport while attempting to smuggle drugs to Korea.
According to local media Khmer Times and Yonhap News, the Phnom Penh International Airport Customs Department apprehended a Korean man and woman who were about to board a flight to Korea the previous day.

They were reportedly wearing packs containing about 2 kg of ketamine and methamphetamine (Philopon) around their waists. The authorities handed them over to the narcotics department for judicial processing and investigation.
Cambodia does not carry out the death penalty for drug offenders. However, if caught handling more than 80 g of illegal drugs and found guilty, a life sentence is imposed.
