Daegu Office of Education to Recruit 96 Public Officials This Year... 81 Education Administration Positions and 8 Librarians

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kang Eun-hee) announced the "2024 Local Government Employee Recruitment Examination Implementation Plan" on the 4th to smoothly promote various policies and pending issues such as the integration of kindergarten and daycare, and to supplement the insufficient workforce.


The number of recruits for this examination is 96 in total: 81 for educational administration positions (75 general, 4 disabled, 2 low-income), 8 for librarian positions, 4 for driver positions, and 3 for technical positions (1 general electrical, 2 general mechanical).

The application period for the 2nd recruitment exam for educational administration, librarian, and driver positions will be held for 5 days from April 15 to 19, and the written exam will take place on June 22. In particular, for the driver positions, applicants must hold a large vehicle driver's license and have at least one year of experience driving large passenger vehicles.


The 3rd recruitment exam for technical positions will be conducted as a competitive career-based exam for graduates (or prospective graduates) of specialized high schools and Meister high schools located in Daegu. The application period will be held for 5 days from August 26 to 30, and the written exam will be held on November 2.


Applicants must submit a recommendation letter from the principal of their alma mater during the principal's recommendation submission period before the application deadline to be eligible to apply.


The age requirement is 18 years or older (born on or before December 31, 2006), and starting this year, due to the enforcement of the "Act on the Change of Jurisdictional Areas between Gyeongsangbuk-do and Daegu Metropolitan City," residents of Gunwi-gun are also eligible to apply.


Kang Eun-hee, Superintendent of Daegu Education, stated, "We will strive to fairly select talented individuals with expertise who will lead Daegu's future competency education reflecting the diverse demands of education consumers."
