Focus on Administrative Efforts to Secure National and Provincial Budgets
Inspection of Nonhyeon Projects and Budget Securing Strategies
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is focusing its administrative efforts on promoting pledged projects and securing national and provincial budgets. On the 4th, Sancheong-gun held a "Countermeasure Report Meeting for the Promotion of Pledged Projects and Securing National and Provincial Budgets in the 8th Elected Term" in the large conference room of the county office.
Presided over by Lee Seunghwa, the mayor of Sancheong-gun, the meeting shared and reviewed the progress, issues, and countermeasures of major projects.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa is holding a briefing session on the promotion of campaign promises and securing national and provincial budget funds for the 8th term of the elected administration.
In particular, there was in-depth discussion on ▲ pledged projects and major administrative policy projects of the 8th elected term ▲ progress of 2024 public contest projects and discovery of new projects ▲ projects targeted for securing national and provincial budgets in 2025. Additionally, the central government’s policy directions and conditions for securing national budgets were shared, followed by a heated discussion on effective budget securing strategies.
Taking this countermeasure report meeting as an opportunity, Sancheong-gun plans to continuously visit the central government and Gyeongnam Province to actively promote the justification and necessity of projects, and to make every effort to be selected for public contest projects for the inclusion of the 2025 budget. The current administration under Mayor Lee Seunghwa has completed 8 out of 57 pledged projects, including the recruitment of internal medicine specialists.
Seven projects, such as the expansion and improvement of the Bravo Hanbang Taxi operation, support projects like knee artificial joint surgery costs for the elderly, and the operation of the Rural Workforce Brokerage Center, have been completed but continue to be promoted.
Most pledged projects of the 8th elected term are proceeding normally according to the original project plans, and projects requiring long-term plans will be promoted normally through central government public contest projects and cooperation systems with other institutions.
This year, Sancheong-gun’s public contest projects total 45 projects worth 292 billion KRW, including ▲ 18 ongoing projects worth 187.3 billion KRW ▲ 4 selected projects worth 3.2 billion KRW (Vivid Cultural Heritage Project, two Gyeongnam Province regional and industry-customized job creation support projects, and Agricultural Worker Dormitory Construction Support Project) ▲ 6 projects under application worth 15 billion KRW ▲ 17 projects planned for application worth 86.4 billion KRW.
The mayor said, “Securing national and provincial budgets is essential for the successful promotion of local pending projects, including pledged projects,” and urged, “Please concentrate the administrative capabilities of all public officials to achieve concrete results.”
