Agency 'Notice of Second Cancellation of Fraudulent Tickets'
10 Million Won Fine for Macro Ticketing Starting from the 22nd
Singer IU is continuing her battle against scalpers ahead of her solo concert.
IU's agency, Edam Entertainment, posted an announcement titled '2024 IU H.E.R WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN SEOUL Unauthorized Ticket 2nd Cancellation Notice' on the official fan cafe on the 29th of last month.
The agency stated, "Regarding a total of 44 bookings confirmed as unauthorized ticket transactions, we have taken the following actions according to our policy." Five ticket buyers who made bookings with the same contact information and showed suspicious transaction patterns were permanently banned from IU's official fan club.
Additionally, 29 general ticket buyers detected with suspicious transactions had their tickets for this concert canceled and were restricted from joining IU's official fan club and booking future concerts. Five individuals involved in unauthorized ticket transactions or attempts were permanently banned from IU's official fan club. Five other general ticket bookings were also canceled.

The agency said, "We are continuously requesting explanations for cases suspected of unauthorized transactions confirmed through reports and monitoring," adding, "For some cases with insufficient explanations or those lifted, additional identity verification will be conducted for on-site ticket collection or entry."
On the 23rd, the agency had already canceled tickets and permanently banned 41 bookings confirmed as unauthorized ticket transactions from the official fan club. IU is scheduled to start her world tour next month, beginning in Seoul and then traveling to various overseas locations including Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore.
According to the revised Performance Act, from the 22nd of this month, using so-called 'macro programs' to purchase concert tickets and resell them at a markup will be prohibited. Those caught selling tickets through such unfair methods will face up to one year in prison or a fine of up to 10 million KRW.
