Tomorrow, March 1st, Independence Movement Day, a cold snap is expected with temperatures dropping below freezing in most parts of the country.
The morning low temperatures in major areas are Seoul -6°C, Incheon -6°C, Suwon -5°C, Chuncheon -7°C, Gangneung -4°C, Cheongju -4°C, Daejeon -4°C, Jeonju -3°C, Gwangju -2°C, Daegu -2°C, Busan 0°C, Jeju 3°C.
The daytime high temperatures will be Seoul -2°C, Incheon -3°C, Suwon -2°C, Chuncheon 0°C, Gangneung 2°C, Cheongju -1°C, Daejeon 0°C, Jeonju 1°C, Gwangju 1°C, Daegu 3°C, Busan 6°C, Jeju 4°C.
From the afternoon, Chungnam region, western Jeolla region, and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy. There will be snowfall in the southwestern part of Jeonbuk and the western part of Jeonnam, and from afternoon to night, some snow flurries are expected in Chungnam and northwestern Jeonbuk.
The expected snowfall from the 1st to 2nd is 2?7 cm in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island, 1?5 cm in the highlands, and about 1 cm along the Jeju coast.
In the Jeolla region, there may be about 1 cm of snow or less than 5 mm of rain in some areas.
Fine dust levels will be 'Good' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
Strong winds are expected along the western coast of Chungnam, the Jeolla coast, the southern East Coast of Gyeongbuk, and parts of Gyeongnam, with the possibility of a strong wind advisory being issued, so it is advised to follow upcoming weather updates.
From the afternoon, waves will rise high, possibly overflowing coastal roads, so caution is advised when approaching coastal areas.
Sea waves will range from 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea nearshore.
Wave heights in the offshore seas (about 200 km from the coastline) are predicted to be 1.0 to 5.0 meters in the East Sea, and 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the West and South Seas.
