Softcamp announced on the 29th that it successfully held the ‘Solution day in Osaka 2024’ event in Osaka, Japan.
The event, held at the Rihga Royal Hotel in Osaka, Japan, was the second following the ‘Solution day in Tokyo 2022’ held in November 2022. This event targeted partner companies with customer networks centered in the Kansai region (Osaka), including the Tokyo metropolitan area, representing leading IT companies in Japan.
The event aimed to share security issues faced by companies in a borderless cloud work environment and to present ways to realize zero trust using software supply chain security leveraging ChatGPT and Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) technology.
A session where a Japanese partner directly presented the successful local implementation case of Softcamp’s secure remote access service, SHIELDGate, also attracted much attention. This case involved applying the solution to customers to improve work efficiency while complying with the new information security guidelines for local governments issued by Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
The intention is to develop the partner event into one that provides practical business value at more diverse touchpoints.
The detailed presentation topics of the event included ▲ new zero trust-based secure remote access replacing VPN/VDI ▲ minimizing external threats and cost-effective internet threat isolation ▲ security operation cases on multi-cloud and various SaaS such as BOX ▲ ChatGPT software supply chain security management.
According to each topic, Softcamp’s secure remote access service 'SHIELDGate,' Remote Browser Isolation (RBI) service 'SHIELDEX Remote Browser,' and RedPenSoft’s demand-side supply chain security management service ‘XSCAN’ were introduced along with solution demonstrations.
RedPenSoft, a joint venture between Softcamp and Enki, showcased XSCAN for the first time in Japan since its launch in September last year. The event drew significant interest, continuing with a Q&A session about RedPenSoft’s first steps.
Kim Hyung-soe, CEO of Softcamp Japan, said, "It was a meaningful time for all participants through interactive communication, such as when the local representative of NetOne Systems, a counterpart with extensive experience providing various solutions and services in Japan, directly presented customer implementation cases of Softcamp’s SHIELDGate solution." He added, "We will continue to make efforts locally so that Softcamp’s various zero trust-based solutions can also gain attention in Japan."
