On the 29th, a post titled "It's true, but why I gave a 1-star rating out of anger" was uploaded on an online community. Mr. A, who runs a pizza shop, shared a screenshot of a review left by a customer on a delivery application (app).

In the photo posted by Mr. A, layers of corn-topped pizza with fallen toppings can be seen, along with corn kernels scattered all over the floor. The customer, Mr. B, who wrote the review, said, "The food arrived, and while I was handing over the card and grabbing the pizza box, I dropped it," adding, "There was a 10-second silence; I was embarrassed, and so was the delivery person."

Mr. B said, "When I asked, 'What should I do?' the delivery person replied, 'The card payment is already completed. You need to order again. I didn't drop it,'" and added, "That’s true, but I got really upset for a moment. What am I supposed to do in this situation?" Along with the photo review, Mr. B gave the pizza shop the lowest rating of 1 star.

Mr. A expressed anger at Mr. B’s review, saying, "The customer wrote at length, 'I dropped it, but if you want a 5-star rating, please remake and deliver it again.'" Netizens who saw the story also responded negatively, saying things like, "They have no conscience at all," "They gave a rating attack for their own mistake. You can tell what kind of person they usually are without even seeing them," "It’s surprising that they realize it’s their fault but still cause such an accident," and "They dropped it themselves but are acting so boldly."

Meanwhile, as the delivery market rapidly grows, conflicts between business owners and consumers related to "star ratings" are intensifying day by day. Due to the nature of the delivery industry, consumer reviews and star ratings significantly impact store sales. In fact, many stores offer complimentary services in exchange for a promise of a "5-star rating." However, the number of black consumers who deliberately give low ratings to demand their rights is also increasing, raising calls for the establishment of clear guidelines.
