On the 28th, visited Hanil Hospital, a regional emergency medical support center,
listened to medical staff difficulties, and explored support measures for normalizing medical services
On June 28, Oh Eon-seok, the mayor of Dobong-gu, visited Hanil Hospital (308 Uicheon-ro) to directly inspect and confirm the local medical situation amid the medical strike.
On that day, Mayor Oh, accompanied by the head of the Dobong-gu Health Center and related department staff, visited the hospital to listen to the difficulties faced by medical personnel and to seek support measures for the normalization of medical services.
Mayor Oh said, "I would like to express my gratitude to all medical staff who remain on site until the end and do their best by patients despite the increased workload caused by the withdrawal of residents from medical sites," adding, "If there are any necessary areas, the district office will actively support them."
After checking the emergency medical system and emergency medical sites, Mayor Oh urged, "As there is a concern that the medical strike may enter a prolonged phase, please fulfill your role as a regional emergency medical support center to minimize the damage to residents caused by medical service gaps."
Dobong-gu has a total of 378 medical institutions, including one general hospital (Hanil Hospital), all of which are currently providing normal medical services.
Currently, the district operates a 'Emergency Public Health Medical Countermeasure Situation Room' 24 hours a day to monitor the trends of medical institutions and the operation status of emergency medical institutions in real time. In addition, to minimize medical service gaps, the health center's clinics are extended until 8 p.m. on weekdays for chronic disease patients and those needing internal medicine treatment.
Furthermore, information on medical institutions providing night and holiday services is being provided through the district's website and blog to make it easy for residents to find.
