Gangnam-gu Signs Friendship Agreement with Dangjin-si, Chungnam

Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) signed a friendship agreement with Dangjin City, Chungnam Province, at Dangjin City Hall on the 28th.

Through this agreement, the two cities representing Seoul and Chungnam have agreed to cooperate mutually to develop into cities leading the future of the Republic of Korea. Gangnam-gu is promoting the establishment of a robot hub district to lead future growth industries by enhancing international competitiveness through the creation of an international exchange complex district.

Dangjin City plans to become a global future convergence industry hub based on Dangjin Port, a logistics forward base connecting the metropolitan area and China, large-scale industrial complexes, and transportation infrastructure linking the West Coast.

Additionally, they will cooperate in areas such as direct trade markets for agricultural and specialty products, providing benefits to tourist sites, and welfare improvements for residents including Gangnam Online Lectures, and plan to discover cooperative projects on various common interests such as culture and arts in the future.

Jo Seong-myeong, Mayor of Gangnam-gu, said, “With this friendship agreement, we expect a higher leap for Dangjin City, the central city of Chungnam, and Gangnam-gu, the representative city of Seoul,” adding, “We will closely cooperate and exchange in various fields with Dangjin City and lead the future of the Republic of Korea together.”
