From March 4th until the fund is exhausted
On the 28th, the Korea Mecenat Association announced that it will recruit companies and arts organizations to participate in the '2024 Arts Support Matching Fund' starting from March 4.
The 'Arts Support Matching Fund' is a project that helps arts organizations with their creative activities by providing additional support from the Arts Promotion Fund at a maximum one-to-one (1:1) ratio proportional to the amount companies support arts organizations. It was initiated to promote corporate sponsorship of culture and arts, and has been jointly operated by the Korea Mecenat Association and the Korea Arts Council since 2007. The project emphasizes supporting the establishment of mutually developmental partnerships between companies and arts organizations. This year, to revitalize regional culture and nationalize Mecenat activities, the project will be promoted in cooperation with seven Mecenat organizations from various regions including Gyeongnam, Jeju, Sejong City, Busan, Gyeongbuk, and Daegu.
Among companies planning to support arts organizations this year, small and medium-sized enterprises can support from a minimum of 5 million KRW, and large enterprises from a minimum of 10 million KRW. Each company can designate and sponsor up to two arts organizations, and arts organizations can be matched with up to two companies simultaneously. Donation receipts will be issued to sponsoring companies.
Last year, through the Arts Support Matching Fund project, 240 cases totaling 6.2 billion KRW were supported to arts organizations. Since 2007, the cumulative number of matching cases has reached 1,937, with approximately 52.7 billion KRW in support funds for the arts sector.
