Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) announced on the 28th that it conducted basic training for 68 participants in the 2024 Disabled Employment Project at the auditorium of the Naju City Disabled Association Hall to perform their job duties.
This training included ▲2024 Disabled Employment Project guidelines briefing ▲safety and health education ▲sexual harassment prevention education ▲disability awareness improvement education.
In particular, moving away from the previous video-watching training, this year a professional instructor was invited to provide more in-depth and efficient education, which received positive responses from the attendees.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “Through this training, I ask everyone to familiarize themselves with the guidelines and do their best in their assigned tasks at each institution without any safety accidents,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to make the city a better place for people with disabilities to live.”
Meanwhile, Naju City's Disabled Employment Project is divided into ‘General Type’ and ‘Welfare Employment.’ The ‘General Type’ is further divided into full-time working 8 hours a day and part-time working 4 hours a day. The ‘Welfare Employment’ involves working 3.5 hours a day.
Participants are expected to perform administrative assistance and cleaning helper duties at eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers and nonprofit welfare facilities (institutions).
