KB Financial Group's 'Seobu Hub-type Neulbom Center' in Incheon, which supports after-school activities and care for elementary school students, opened on the 28th.
According to KB Financial, the opening ceremony of the Seobu Hub-type Neulbom Center located in Gajwa-dong, Seo-gu, Incheon, was attended by Do Seong-hoon, Superintendent of Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, Shin Chung-sik, Chair of the Education Committee of Incheon City Council, and Kim Kyung-nam, Executive Director of KB Financial ESG Win-Win Headquarters.
The hub-type Neulbom Center is a facility that provides care and after-school programs for elementary school students. It operates until 7 p.m. on weekdays and also during vacation periods so that parents in dual-income families can entrust their children with peace of mind. Currently, KB Financial offers an 'Economic and Financial Education' program to help elementary students learn economic and financial knowledge easily and enjoyably.
The Seobu Hub-type Neulbom Center is the first hub-type Neulbom Center in the Incheon area. About 60 elementary students from nearby areas who have not been able to use elementary care classrooms will now be able to use care and after-school programs, which is expected to resolve the care waiting issue at overcrowded schools in the area.
Since 2018, KB Financial has invested a total of 125 billion KRW to support care projects. It has invested 75 billion KRW to support the establishment and expansion of elementary care classrooms and national/public attached kindergartens nationwide, resulting in the establishment and expansion of a total of 2,265 national/public attached kindergartens and elementary care classrooms. Since February last year, KB Financial has been investing a total of 50 billion KRW over five years to open hub-type Neulbom Centers nationwide.
A KB Financial official said, "As the name Neulbom School implies, we hope to create an environment where children, our future, can grow up happier through 'schools as warm as spring all year round,' and where parents can trust and entrust their children with peace of mind." He added, "Going forward, KB Financial will continue to actively lead the nurturing of future generations in line with the Ministry of Education's policy of 'nationwide expansion of Neulbom Schools' and do its best to fulfill its social responsibility as a company growing together with the people."
