Kidari Studio announced on the 28th that the movie "Hijacking," which deals with a passenger plane hijacking incident, will be released in June.


"Hijacking" (directed by Kim Seong-han) depicts the story of people struggling in an extreme situation when a passenger plane was hijacked in the skies over South Korea in 1971.


Actor Ha Jung-woo plays the role of the pilot operating the passenger plane. A former Air Force fighter pilot with excellent flying skills and a strong sense of responsibility, he seeks ways to overcome the perilous situation of being hijacked mid-flight. Yeo Jin-goo plays Yong-dae, a passenger on the plane.


Sung Dong-il plays the captain Gyu-sik of the passenger plane. Alongside Tae-in, Gyu-sik is responsible for operating the plane and strives to maintain composure and safely land the aircraft even in a crisis. Chae Soo-bin plays Ok-soon, a flight attendant who shows calmness and determination in the face of danger.


Kim Kyung-chan, the screenwriter of the movie "1987" (2017), wrote the screenplay, and director Kim Seong-han, who honed his skills as an assistant director on films such as "Asura" (2016), "1987," and "Baekdusan" (2019), took the helm.
