UK Prince William, Sudden Cancellation of Official Schedule... The Reason Is

"Personal Reasons" Royal Announcement
Various Speculations Abound

On the 27th (local time), the British Royal Family announced that Prince William canceled his official schedule due to personal reasons. According to the BBC and others, Prince William will not attend the memorial service for the late King Constantine II of Greece held at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle that morning.

The Royal Family announced this less than an hour before the event, providing no detailed explanation other than citing personal reasons. King Constantine II, who passed away in January last year, was the last king of Greece. He was a relative and close friend of King Charles III and the godfather of Prince William.

King Charles III, who is battling cancer, will also not attend and does not plan to meet with attendees separately. Instead, Queen Camilla will represent the British Royal Family and host the subsequent reception.

Several dozen royals from Spain, Jordan, Bulgaria, and other countries, as well as the family of the Duke of Andrew from the UK, attended the memorial service that day.

Prince William's absence has sparked speculation as it coincides with King Charles III's cancer diagnosis and the surgery of Prince William's wife, Duchess Middleton. The Royal Family stated that the Duchess is doing well, suggesting that the cancellation of the schedule is unrelated to her, according to The Telegraph.

The Duchess underwent abdominal surgery on the 17th of last month and was hospitalized for about two weeks. Although specific details of her condition have not been disclosed, the Royal Family explained that she does not plan to return to official duties before Easter (late next month).
