Scholarship Award Ceremony for 101.8 Million Won Held

Goseong Education Foundation, which is leading the cultivation of local talent and scholarship projects in Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam, held the '2024 Scholarship Award Ceremony' on the 27th at the Goseong-gun Office large conference room.

About 150 people, including Lee Sang-geun, the mayor of Goseong-gun, scholarship students, and their parents, attended the meaningful event together.

Goseong Education Foundation Awards Scholarships Totaling 101.8 Million KRW to 189 Students.

The selected scholarship recipients this time include ▲ 97 students receiving scholarships for arts, physical education, and special talents ▲ 46 students with excellent academic performance entering local high schools ▲ 30 high school students with excellent academic performance ▲ 10 students receiving scholarships for fostering the aviation industry ▲ 4 students receiving self-reliance scholarships ▲ 2 out-of-school youth scholarships, totaling 189 scholarship recipients across 6 categories who received scholarships.

The total amount of scholarships awarded to the students on this day was 101.8 million KRW.

Mayor Lee encouraged the attendees in his congratulatory speech, saying, “We will always strive to discover talents suited to an era that is rich and diverse. I sincerely support the students' dreams and hope they grow up healthy as future leaders.”

Chairman Choi Sang-rim said, “We will fully uphold the founding purpose of the Goseong Education Foundation and continue to maintain the reputation of ‘Goseong, the hometown of talent.’ We will actively take the lead so that students in Goseong-gun can receive many benefits and the education in Goseong-gun can develop further.”

Meanwhile, the Goseong Education Foundation, established on May 21, 2021, as a public institution funded by Goseong-gun, promotes scholarship projects and purpose-driven projects for the development of children and youth through contributions and donations from Goseong-gun.
