Dobong-gu Activates Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to Respond to Medical Sector Strike
District Mayor Oh Eon-seok Leads as Head, Organizing and Operating 8 Task Forces Including Situation Management Team
Health Center Clinic Hours Extended Until 8 PM to Minimize Medical Service Gaps
As the health and medical disaster crisis alert has been raised to the 'Severe' level, Dobong-gu announced that it is making every effort to minimize resident damage caused by medical service gaps.
On the 23rd, the district upgraded the Emergency Health and Medical Countermeasures Headquarters to the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and has been responding swiftly.
The Dobong-gu Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters is led by District Mayor Oh Eon-seok and is composed of eight operational teams: Situation Management, Life Support, Resource Support, Medical and Quarantine, Rescue and Emergency, Disaster Public Relations, Order and Cooperation, and Administrative Support and Volunteer teams.
The district plans to establish and implement phased measures through the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters according to the situation until the medical professionals' collective action crisis is resolved.
Currently, the district operates the 'Emergency Health and Medical Countermeasures Situation Room' 24 hours a day, continuously monitoring the status of medical institutions and emergency treatment facilities, maintaining close communication with related organizations, and preparing for the medical community's collective action.
In addition, to minimize treatment gaps, the public health center's consultation hours have been extended until 8 p.m. Consultation hours will be flexibly adjusted depending on whether the number of medical institutions closing increases.
Furthermore, the district provides information on night and holiday medical institutions and their operating hours through the district public health center's website to ensure residents do not experience inconvenience in using medical services.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, "We are focusing the district's administrative power on preparing for the medical community's collective action to minimize damage to residents," adding, "Until this situation is resolved, the district will remain vigilant at all times and prepare for every possible scenario."
