Tourist Site Discounts and Review Event Held

Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, is conducting a tourist attraction discount and travel review event for visitors to Uljin to commemorate the 2nd anniversary of overcoming the large-scale forest fire.

The tourist attraction discount and travel review event, held for one month in March, was prepared to express gratitude for the warmth and support received from many places during the large-scale Uljin forest fire in March 2022, with the purpose of overcoming the crisis and showing and experiencing a vibrant Uljin once again.

The tourist attraction discount event will be held throughout March, covering six locations: Deokgu Oncheon, Wangpicheon Cable Car, Uljin Aquarium, Seongryu Cave, and Wangpicheon Park (Insect Travel Center, Safety Experience Center).

At Deokgu Oncheon, visitors can receive a 25% discount on the large hot spring bath, 20% on the spa, and a 30,000 KRW discount when using rooms only. At Wangpicheon Cable Car, Aquarium, Seongryu Cave, and Wangpicheon Park (Insect Experience Center and Safety Experience Center), the same discount rates as those for Uljin residents apply.

Discounts are provided only for on-site purchases, and overlapping discounts for a single facility are not allowed. Uljin residents are excluded from the discount.

The Uljin travel review event requires participants to post a travel review on the Uljin-gun Culture and Tourism website after traveling in Uljin-gun during March.

The review must include at least two certified photos of Uljin-gun tourist attractions, one receipt used within the district in March, and a review of at least 100 characters. Additionally, participants must post the Uljin-gun promotional certification and URL address on their personal SNS.

The review submission period is until April 30, and a total of 100 outstanding travel reviews will be selected to receive accommodation vouchers for Deokgu Oncheon and free tickets for the Jukbyeon Coastal Sky Rail. The reviews will also be used as vivid materials to promote Uljin-gun’s cultural and tourist attractions.

County Governor Son Byeong-bok said, “On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of overcoming the large-scale forest fire, we hope this tourism event, filled with gratitude, will serve as an opportunity to rediscover Uljin and provide unique tourist attractions and healing places.” He added, “We encourage everyone to travel to Uljin-gun and participate in the event to receive many benefits.”
