National Movements, Volunteer Work, Welfare Task Force, etc.

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that it held a launching ceremony attended by the Boseong regional task force and others to participate in the "Warmth Sharing Relay Event of Love," which was planned to suit the characteristics of the county, as part of the "Nationwide Warmth Sharing Campaign" hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The "Nationwide Warmth Sharing Campaign" is a national campaign promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to comfort citizens experiencing various disasters and socio-economic difficulties and to foster a national atmosphere of mutual encouragement.

Starting with this launching ceremony, 12 towns and townships will carry out distinctive volunteer and sharing events until March 18, aiming to spread and promote the campaign throughout the entire county.

About 50 people, including representatives from Boseong-gun, Boseong Volunteer Center, Welfare Task Force, and private organizations, attended the launching ceremony, intensifying the enthusiasm for the "Nationwide Warmth Sharing Campaign" through discussions on campaign promotion and sharing activities by each institution and organization.

In particular, the attendees carried out volunteer activities such as cleaning inside and outside the residence, laundry, and garbage collection for Mr. Lim, a household at risk of solitary death residing in Joseong-myeon, fostering the warmth of love so that the target household could live in a comfortable environment.

Lee Mi-ae, director of the Boseong Volunteer Center, said, "Private organizations (national movements, volunteer groups, welfare task force, etc.) and the 12 towns and townships are all working hard to make the 'Warmth Sharing Relay Event of Love' a more passionate event." She added, "We ask for the continuous interest and love of local residents so that the event can be successfully completed."

County Governor Kim Cheol-woo said, "I thank the private organizations (national movements, volunteer groups, welfare task force, etc.) and the 12 towns and townships for participating in the 'Warmth Sharing Relay Event of Love.'" He added, "We will do our best to make Boseong-gun warmer and a better place to live by turning the warmth of love into a light of hope."

Meanwhile, to successfully promote the "Nationwide Warmth Sharing Campaign," since December last year, various institutions and organizations in Boseong-gun have been delivering love briquettes to low-income families, sharing kimchi for kimjang, distributing rice cake soup rice cakes and chicken soup rice cakes, visiting low-income households for Lunar New Year, and conducting year-end and New Year sharing campaigns, spreading warm warmth everywhere.
