Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, conducted a 'Farm Machinery Theory and Practice Training' on the 20th at the Cheongsong-gun Farm Machinery Rental Center for 53 local farmers as the full-scale farming season began.
Cheongsong-gun Agricultural Technology Center conducted theoretical and practical training on agricultural machinery.
This training was promoted to prevent accidents among inexperienced returnees to farming and rural areas and elderly farmers due to the widespread distribution of agricultural machinery. The program combined theoretical and practical education on the operating principles, handling methods, and inspection and maintenance of rental agricultural machinery.
In particular, the training focused intensively on two types of machinery with relatively high accident risks and frequent rentals, such as tractors and agricultural excavators. Completion of this training is mandatory to rent the respective farm machinery.
Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “Accidents related to farm machinery have a higher fatality rate compared to other accidents, so it is essential to raise users' safety awareness,” adding, “We will continue to provide education to improve farmers' income and ensure safe farming activities.”
